Assignments showing as "LMS not graded" in Savvas Realize

Agilix Buzz

In Buzz you must ensure that your Savvas activity has This activity is gradable checked if you want Savvas Realize to pass back the grade to your Buzz gradebook.

If you have This activity is gradable unchecked, Savvas Realize will create the assignment with the text "(LMS not graded)" appended to the title. This indicates that Savvas cannot pass the grade back to Buzz since the This activity is gradable is turned off.

Canvas

In Canvas you must add a Savvas item as a Canvas assignment in order for the item to have grade and show up in the gradebook in Canvas.

If you add a Savvas item as a Canvas external tool link or if you add a Savvas item using the HTML editor, the item will no be graded in Canvas. However, Savvas Realize will treat the item as a class assignment and it will append the text "(LMS not graded)" to the name of the item to indicate that there is no grade pass back because there is no corresponding gradebook entry in the Canvas gradebook.

Schoology

In Schoology you must ensure that your Savvas material item has Enable Grading checked if you want Savvas Realize to pass back the grade to your Schoology gradebook.

If you have Enable Grading unchecked, Savvas Realize will create the assignment with the text "(LMS not graded)" appended to the title. This indicates that Savvas cannot pass the grade back to Schoology since the Enable Grading is turned off.

We recommend you always leave Enable Grading checked and if you don't want it to show in your gradebook leave the Category as "(Ungraded)." Schoology will collect the grades from Savvas Realize but it will hide it from the gradebook. If you change your mind and you decide to add it to your gradebook, since Schoology was collecting the grades from Savvas Realize all the grades will show up in your gradebook.

Warning when copying Schoology materials!

When you copy a folder of content from one course to another course or copy content from Schoology Resources, Schoology will set the Enable Grading to unchecked. Notice if you go to Advanced Settings > Advanced Options for each item in the Copy To modal window, each item has Enable Grading unchecked.

You must check Enable Grading for each assignment under the Advanced Settings > Advanced Options in the Copy To modal or better, you can edit each assignment after you copy the items to your course and also manage other properties like the grade category and due dates.
