We are currently investigating a known issue where some users are experiencing session timeouts earlier than the standard 120 minutes of inactivity.
While our system usually allows for two hours of idle time, a recent update has created a conflict when multiple Savvas tabs are open simultaneously.
Specifically, your active session will be disconnected if you:
Have Savvas content open in your LMS (Canvas, Schoology, etc.) or you launched Savvas Realize in one tab.
Next you open the Savvas Realize Discover tool with your LMS in a separate browser tab.
The Result: Opening the Discover tool "claims" the active session. When you click back to your original tab (the LMS or Realize), the system will treat you as logged out and prompt a timeout message.
Our engineering team is working on a permanent fix. In the meantime, you can prevent these timeouts by following these steps:
Stick to One Tab: Try to use only one active Savvas tab at a time.
Close Before You Discover: If you need to use the Discover tool, save your work and close your current Savvas/LMS tab before launching it.
Note: We know your time is valuable. We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this.
